Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage announced that five students in the Bay Area were awarded $2,000 each after participating in the Share Your Moving Story scholarship program sponsored by the Relocation and Referral Services division of NRT, LLC. NRT is the parent company of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Northern California.

Open to junior and senior high school students, the Share Your Moving Story Scholarship program invited the students to share, in a written essay, their personal moving experiences or that of a loved one, and how it affected them. Submissions were judged anonymously by a selection committee. Five of the 10 winners nationwide reside in the Bay Area, including:

Anita Pourmoghaddam, San Jose, Oak Grove High School

Ashley Jenemar Menguito, Vallejo, A Jesse Bethel High

Hyunkyung Yoon, Capitola, Soquel High School

Salem Ali, Petaluma, Casa Grande High School

Zennia Dillon, Soquel, Pacific Collegiate School

“One of the most impactful ways in which we can support our local students is by recognizing their talent and investing in their education,” said Mike James, president of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Northern California. “We are pleased to celebrate our five winners’ achievements and wish them much success at school and beyond.”

“Providing this scholarship is our way of recognizing the vital role family plays in making relocations successful,” said Monty Smith, president of Company Generated Business for NRT LLC. “We are proud to support the academic growth of students who have been affected by the moving process.”
